Dusky Sounds South Australia Merlot NV (Australia)

Dusky Sounds South Australia Merlot NV (Australia)

An unassuming, easy-drinking, ruby red wine in the glass with a nose of plum and cherry, mocha, spice and a touch of mint. A medium bodied wine with fine tannins and a full palate of ripe black cherries, dark plum & sweet spice. A well structured wine with a smooth finish.

Dusky Sounds is building a reputation for producing fresh, fruit-driven quality wines, enthusiastically continuing to focus their passion to make easy drinking styles of wines that are suitable for everyday occasions and cuisine.

grapes were sourced from selected vineyards in South Australia on a mix of well drained clay loam, limestone, stony and gravel soils. Once harvested, the fruit was brought into the winery where it was de-stemmed into fermenters. During fermentation they wine was pumped over/plunged regularly to help extract colour, fruit flavour & tannin. The wine then went through full malolactic fermentation, then fined using natural methods prior to bottling.
