Edwin Fox Reserve Marlborough Pinot Gris 2020
- Dry style
- Passionfruit
- Citrus
- Lingering finish
"Offering lovely fruit purity and elegance, the wine shows Nashi pear, white floral, citrus peel and nectarine characters on the nose. It's equally appealing on the palate, displaying lovely focus and silky texture, leading to a lengthy delectable finish. At its best: now to 2022" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2020
A delicious Pinot Gris with lifted aromas of fragrant ripe peach and melon, warm brioche and spice. Beautifully rounded flavours of pear, passionfruit and a hint of citrus leads to a lovely fresh dry finish that lingers. At its best over the next three to four years.
The Edwin Fox is a Historical East Indiaman style ship built in Bengal in 1853.
She is the 9th oldest ship afloat in the world today and the last surviving wooden immigrant ship to New Zealand. She now resides on the Picton foreshore at the gateway to the picturesque Marlborough Sounds.
Food Pairing: Well matched with chicken yakatori or pan fried pork chops.
