Edwin Fox Reserve Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2022
- Dry style
- Ripe strawberries
- Rockmelon
- Lingering finish
"Offering elegance and poise, the wine shows white flesh nectarine, watermelon, citrus peel and white floral aromas, it's light and juicy delivering bright fruit flavours with well-pitched acidity, finishing crisp-dry and lingering. At its best: now to 2024" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2022
An elegant, dry Pinot Noir Rosé with a lifted aroma of ripe strawberries and cream. Beautifully rounded flavours of rockmelon, white peach and a hint of spice leads to a lovely fresh dry finish that lingers.
Grapes are harvested in the cool of the morning to enhance the intense aromatics, then gently pressed to minimize colour and tannin. The juice was cool fermented in stainless steel to capture all the vibrant fruit flavours.
The Edwin Fox is a Historical East Indiaman style ship built in Bengal in 1853. She is the 9th oldest ship afloat in the world today and the last surviving wooden immigrant ship to New Zealand. She now resides on the Picton foreshore at the gateway to the picturesque Marlborough Sounds.
Food Pairing: Enjoy on a sunny afternoon with a charcuterie board.
