Fleur de Miraval Exclusivement Champagne Rosé NV (France)
"For me, Champagne conjures up feelings of celebration, quality, prestige, and luxury. But rosé champagne is still relatively unknown. Back by our success with Miraval in Provence, I wanted us to try and create the defining brand of rosé Champagne, focusing all our efforts on just this one colour. The result is spectacular and I’m very proud of it" Brad Pitt

The nose opens with aromas of blood orange, pink grapefruit and sweet pastries leading to a poised palate of undeniably elegant flavours of candied citrus peel, almond and a saline freshness. The finish is a delicate mousse to be savoured.
The artistic concept behind the creation of Fleur de Miraval is the blending of Chardonnays that have noble, autolytic evolutionary notes and supremely fresh Pinot Noirs with slightly acidulous, red fruit notes. Given the aromatic profile we were looking for in the Pinot Noirs, the saignée method seemed an altogether more natural choice than using classic red winemaking techniques that would have produced much riper, richer tones.
Base year for this Edition is 2016. The Perpetual Reserve goes back to 2007. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and the Reserve is growing in large casks. The wine aged on the lees for 3 years.
Fleur de Miraval Champagne is the first sparkling produced by the creators of Miraval Rosé wines. Brad Pitt took a leading role in creating Fleur de Miraval rosé Champagne and both Miraval co-owners joined with the Péters family in Champagne to begin a new project. The Péters family, established in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, is internationally renowned for its Champagne, especially the blanc de blancs made from its own grapes since 1919. The Champagne is described as 'not some new celebrity wine' but a truly authentic project.
