Gabriel Meffre 'La Chasse' Chardonnay Viognier 2017 (France)
This wine displays ripe, exotic fruit and limongrass aromas which are fresh and vivid.
Chardonnay and Viognier grapes are picked at the coolest time of the morning in order to preserve their freshness before the sun warms the vines too much. The grapes come from various vineyard sites of the Languedoc, South and West of France. They are pressed after a short skin maceration and 4 to 6 hours later the clear juice is racked off. This wine is not matured in oak.
Food Pairing: Harmonious and soft, it can be enjoyed on its own or with fish, seafood or white meat, such as chicken.
