This light and fruity expression is finished for eight months in Port pipes from Porto Cruz, the N°1 Porto company in the world. The spirit picks up oney gold/Pink grapefruit hues. Toasted vanilla and light oak. Rich dried fruits. Refreshing spice with citrus lemon tang. Caramelised sweetness with a hint of cinnamon. A lingering fi nish with sweet spice and delicate oak.
Double matured, selected from the finest American oak barrels and finished for 8 months in Port pipes, specially selected by master distiller from Gran Cruz, the N°1 Porto Company in the World.
After several years in ex Bourbon casks the spirit has picked up a lovely citrus and vanilla characteristic which forms the key structure to the body of this whisky. The 8 month finish in the Port Pipe embellishes the character to form new aromas and flavours these are apparent in the lovely Summer fruit, dark chocolate and cinnamon that is now within the whisky. Finally the change in colour from the light gold to a more red/pink hue spirit gives a visual indication of the influence the wood has had on this wonderful whisky.
