Dense, vibrant purple. Lifted plum and mulberry with chocolate and vanilla oak. Ripe mulberry and plum, hint of raspberry jam, soft tannin and acid with smooth mocha oak. Ready for immediate consumption

For Greasy Fingers Shiraz, fully ripe and rich Shiraz parcels were selected for the base wine. A high percentage of the blend was matured on planks for approximately 4 months as raw wines. 57% of the blend was then matured in older French and American hogsheads (300L barrels) for ~6 months. The wine was then fine-tuned on short duration (~3 weeks) French oak chips.  Although a high percentage of wine was aged in oak, The goal was to give this wine plenty of body, texture and tannin structure with caramel and vanilla notes compatible to a big, generous Shiraz.
