Kim Crawford Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris 2022
- Dry style
- Ripe pear
- Subtle spice
- Crisp finish
Pale straw. Lifted aromas of ripe pear and apples with floral notes and a light spice. The palate has ripe, rich fruit flavours with good oily texture and a crisp finish, balanced with a touch of sweetness.
Despite challenging weather conditions in the Hawke's Bay early in the season, the 2022 fruit was harvested great condition.
After crushing and destemming, the juice was direct-pressed and then fermented under controlled conditions at a cool temperature using specialised yeast strains. The young wine was racked off yeast lees immediately after fermentation.
Kim Crawford wines started out in a small Auckland cottage in New Zealand. Since its launch in 1996, the label has gained critical acclaim around the globe. We do things unconventionally, take risks, start things, and welcome different.
