Kopu Gisborne Pinot Gris 2020

Kopu Gisborne Pinot Gris 2020

  • Dry style
  • White stone fruit
  • Subtle spice
  • Dry finish

"This is attractively fruited on the nose showing white stone fruit, apple, lemon zest and subtle spice characters. The palate is gently weighted and rounded, delivering juicy fruit flavours and smooth texture, finishing pleasingly dry" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

A fine, balanced Pinot Gris that is very approachable with lovely fresh aromatics of honeysuckle, pear drop, and honeydew melon all leading to a nice rich palate that finishes with a balancing touch of spice and grapefruit pith.

Grapes for this wine were grown in the Ngatapa Valley region of  Gisborne district where dry-farming practices have been employed for over 75 years.

Post-harvest the grapes and juice were processed with care to maximise fruit flavour and intensity. The resulting wine has lovely floral aromatics on the nose, while the palate is showing peach, fresh pear, apple blossom and subtle spice.

Food Pairing: Ideal food pairings include fresh salad and vegetable dishes, white meats and Asian cuisine.
