Pale pink in colour with aromas of red fruits, watermelon and rose petal. The palate is dry and salivating with a hint of spice. This wine is drinking well now but can be cellared for up to 4 years.
A delightful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 29%, Cabernet Franc 26%, Syrah 21%, Merlot 15%, Malbec 9%.
The grapes were machine harvested and transported to our Riverview winery where they were pressed off immediately to limit colour extraction. The juice was settled then racked off for fermentation using a variety of yeasts but primarily X5. The resulting wines were transported to our Katikati winery where they were finished and bottled.
Food Pairing: Salads, pasta and rice dishes, fish – especially salmon.
