This Riesling is medium weight in a off dry style. Floral and citrus aromas, some tropical notes however primarily citrus spectrum with grapefruit/tangelo pith characters, all underpinned by mineral characters and refreshing acidity.
Hand harvested in April at around 8 tonnes per hectare. The grapes were whole bunch pressed, fermented at cool temperatures using wild yeasts, before filtration and bottling end Nov 19.
Mount Edward are pioneers of modern Central Otago wine, we craft premium wines from certified organic vineyard sites across our unique sub regions. Gibbston, Bannockburn and Pisa. Mount Edward wines come from these unique sites, managed organically, made traditionally and given a modern progressive feel reflecting all we stand for at Mount Edward.
