Mud House Marlborough Rosé 2022

Mud House Marlborough Rosé 2022

  • Dry style
  • Red berries
  • Citrus
  • Refreshing finish

Pale blush pink. Punchy tropical notes and subtle citrus are complemented by fresh red berry aromas. A lively palate with juicy acidity and crisp citrus flavours. Subtle hints of fleshy red berries offer a touch of sweetness, leading into a long, refreshing finish.

Fruit for this wine was sourced from selected vineyards across the expanse of the Marlborough winegrowing region, including our company Woolshed Vineyard in the upper Wairau Valley, along with long established growers in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys. Our Marlborough vineyards are situated on moderately fertile glacial soils. This includes a mix of sandy loam over very eep gravels, fertile loams and clays.

It was a challenging growing season, with wet and cold weather during flowering. However, as summer rolled on, conditions improved and the summer months were hot and dry – perfect for ripening fruit. Harvest came around early, and when the fruit was picked it was in optimal condition — healthy, with great flavour and integrity.

Food Pairing: Fresh fish ceviche with toasted ciabatta.
