Mystery Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

Mystery Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

  • Dry style
  • Watermelon
  • Berries & spices
  • Crisp

"The 2020 vintage (4*) is bright pink, very fresh and lively, with good intensity of strawberry and watermelon flavours, and a dry, lingering finish" Michael Cooper, Oct 2020

The wine is a bright, vibrant pink colour with ample aromas and flavours of ripe berry fruit, peach and watermelon on a background of exotic spice. The palate is generous but dry and crisp with a good length of flavour

The Pinot Noir for this Rosé were sourced from a cool, dry, low-yielding vineyard in Marlborough’s Awatere Valley.

The grapes were hand-harvested, lightly crushed then allowed to steep for 3 hours before being gently pressed. The juice was cold settled, racked and then cool fermented to preserve the fresh fruit flavours. After fermentation, the wine rested on its lees for several months before being lightly filtered and bottled.

Food Pairing: Great as an aperitif or to accompany foods such as savoury tapas, light pasta dishes, Nicoise salad or other Mediterranean dishes.
