A luscious, refreshing Pinot Gris with white pepper, fresh green herbs and ripe mango bound in a lassoo of acidity. This wine is all about mouthfeel - it's got depth, viscocity, and richness while staying deliciously clean and deceptively moreish. A touch of savoury, steely notes in the background are reminiscent of a Neudorf aromatic.
Tiritiri means to plant or cultivate and these grapes are no exception to this. Comprised of 100% Pinot Gris grapes, they have been grown on 100% Moutere clay gravels in sunny Nelson.
A dry and windy spring followed by a dry summer preceeded this harvest. A welcome, "autumnal" touch finished the season, before a compact harvest (100% handpicked). This will be a vintage to remember. Not only for the high quality of fruit, but also due to the surreal pressures that the industry and world were put under due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Graped were 100% whole bunch pressed on a gentle cycle. Wild fermentation underwent 90% in stainless steel and 10% in neutral puncheons.
Food Pairing: Spicy dishes with fish, tofu or chicken. Perfect with lime, coriander and chili.
