Rock Ferry Trig Hill Central Otago Riesling 2015
A powerful nose of benzyne and kerosene with a well balanced palate of honeysuckle and rhubarb. A crisp citrus acidity is matched with a lengthy finish.

Their aim in the vineyard is to grow the best fruit they can so it can speak of its home and express its personality. To do this you need healthy vines and soil. By practicing organics and incorporating some biodynamic principles they believe they are doing their best to help achieve this and let their vineyards evolve and speak as they would like.
The grapes were hand harvested and whole bunch pressed. The juice was cold settled for 48 hours prior to racking. The stainless steel portion 80% was fermented for 32 days with cultured yeast, selected to retain the varietal purity and 20% was fermented in older French oak and underwent malolactic fermentation. The wine was racked post ferment and matured on light lees for 6 months prior to bottling.
