Running With Bulls Barossa Grenache 2023 (Australia)

Running With Bulls Barossa Grenache 2023 (Australia)

"Okay, this is Barossa Grenache, but it’s presented as a lighter style with a feature being it is unoaked. So you are getting a lively and vibrant expression of pure medium to light bodied Grenache. Perfumed rose petals and raspberry notes on the nose and a seamless, balanced and thoroughly delicious palate. Ideal if served slightly chilled" Ray Jordan, May 2025

Aromas of rose, cherry, lavender and raspberry. Silky and vibrant, with flavours of pomegranate, raspberry and rhubarb.

Abundant winter and spring rains filled the soils. The cool, wet weather delayed vine growth and budburst by three weeks. Wet and windy weather just as the vines flowered set a smaller crop, which the vines ripened in perfect, mild conditions. The resulting grapes had amazing flavour with beautiful natural acidity.

The Grenache ripened early, allowing us to co-ferment with a small amount (8%) of Tempranillo. Some whole bunches were included in the wild ferment to add spice and texture to the wine. This is a fresh Grenache; unoaked and bottled early as a juicy, lively wine to highlight the deliciously aromatic fruit.

Food Pairing: Crispy fish tacos or shiitake wonton soup.
