Sartori Prosecco Rosé Brut DOC 2020 (Italy)

Sartori Prosecco Rosé Brut DOC 2020 (Italy)

  • Off-dry style
  • Cherry & red berries
  • Wild strawberries
  • Moreish

"Following the popularity of prosecco and the fashion for drinks pink, prosecco Rosé became an official denomination in Italy last year for bubbly made from the traditional white prosecco grape Glera and a dash of Pinot Nero (pinot noir) for colour. While some “ro-secco” can be on the sweeter side, the Sartori is a more serious dry style that’s fresh, citrusy, and moreish with strawberry-scented with Rosé" Jo Burzynska, Viva Magazine, Nov 2021

"A delightfully light and approachable Rosé in the sparkling prosecco style. Soft flavours of cherry and red berry fruit. Ideal as a lunchtime picnic wine" Phil Parker, Ponsonby News, Jan 2022

Rosé with lively and brilliant hues, fine and persistent perlage; delicate and fruity aroma, pleasantly fresh taste with typical hints of wild strawberries.

A blend of 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Noir grapes grown in calcareous alluvial soils in the Province of Treviso.

The Grapes are harvested around the first week of September, softly pressed and fermented at controlled temperature. The Pinot Noir is vinified in red and blended with the Glera before the second fermentation in autoclave (Charmat Method), which takes at least 60 days.

For over a century, Sartori, a leading name in fine wines from northeast Italy’s Veneto region, has stood for traditional values elevated by innovation, a dedication to quality and above all, a boundless passion for quality winemaking. Today, Andrea Sartori is at the helm. Like his forefathers, he has taken steps to broaden the reputation of Sartori di Verona and to guarantee the quality behind it.

Food Pairing: This Prosecco rosé is perfect as an aperitif, to appetizers or paired with food. We recommend to try it with fish, shellfish and crustaceans.
