Vibrant fresh strawberries and brambles on the palate, with a silky yet juicy mid palate before an elegant finish. Ripe cherry, strawberry and rockmelon.
The fruit was picked in the cool early morning while it was still cold to optimise varietal character and then gently pressed to retain only the premium freerun juice. Minimal time on skins was to achieve a delicate platinum colour and retain bright berry fruit characters. Short skin contact time was achieved to also ensures balance, by avoiding too much structural tannin and maintain elegance. Fermented at cool temperatures with selected aromatic yeast strains in stainless steel vats. Additional 2 months maturation on light lees to add palate weight and finesse, enjoy now or age for up to 2/3 years.
From Hawke's Bay, Nelson and Marlborough. Sourced from a variety of New Zealand premium vineyard sub-regions from alluvial river gravels, coastal terraces to gentle clay hillsides helps build complexity and elegance.
