Ripe strawberry and mandarin with loads of sherbet on the nose. Bright and floral in the mouth with flavours of strawberry and cranberry. Nice bright acidity carries the flavours long in the mouth. Excellent fruit concentration but dry and delicious.
The 2022 Rosé comes from our home vineyard in Te Awanga. Characterised by shallow volcanic soils, an underlying clay pan and a fresh, coastal climate. 100% Merlot.
Harvested and pressed straight away to achieve a light yet intense colour. Settled, racked and fermented at cool temperatures to retain freshness and aromatics. Un-fined but filtered before bottling.
Wildsong wines are uncomplicated and grounded with a gentle tale or two to tell of the soil they were grown in and the people who made them. Grown with respect, made with heart and packed with attitude. There’s a little Wildsong in each of us.
