Al-Muvedre is a monovarietal wine from Spain's Levante area, the cradle of the Monastrell variety (Morvedre). It represents the spirit of the Mediterranean, that more southern and luminous expression which Monastrell manages to offer in a unique way. Soils are poor and low-yielding, mainly calcareous with a sandy composition, and some gravels. Soils are low in organic matter and yield very low production. Vineyards are bush pruned and hand harvested. The grapes are fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks.

This old Mediterranean vineyard area is composed of long, flat structured terraces with a marine influence. The landscape in Alicante is attractive, the limestone walls created centuries ago match the houses of the same colour. The almond groves and vineyards enhancing the landscape. A smooth, lush textured red wine with rich blueberry and black cherry fruit, earthy notes and hints of pepper.
