The Acorn Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2024
Crushed strawberry with hints of clotted cream. Beautiful berry fruit on the palate with the barest hint of phenolic grip. Bright, Fruity acidity gives nice length and finish.

The fruit for this wine is sourced entirely from a north facing slope high in the back of Pyramid farm, which towers over the Stunning Waihopai Valley. One of the first parcels of fruit picked every year. A combination of aspect and altitude keeps the acidity and provides the desired ripeness.
Being one of the first blocks picked every year, we tend to start with this block, as first of the day. As the sun is rising, we are picking, the fruit is as cold as can be. After an hour of skin contact, the fruit is gently pressed and readied for fermentation. The wine is fermented slowly to preserve its aromatics and intensity, once complete, its allowed eight weeks of time on lees to develop complexity and palate depth.
Food Pairing: A great match with a Panzanella salad, or salt and pepper Squid, or a lazy afternoon in the sun on the deck!
