W5 Marlborough Pinot Noir 2021

W5 Marlborough Pinot Noir 2021

"Splendidly ripe and complex, showing dark plum, sweet cherry, thyme, toasted almond and subtle spice aromas, leading to a supple palate offering succulent fruit flavours with silky texture and finely infused tannins. Attractively styled and delightfully appealing. At its best: now to 2026" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2023

Intense Pinot Noir with a beautiful bouquet of dark berry fruit, olives and toasted oak. Elegant in style with flavours of blackberries, ripe black cherry and a hint of vanilla. Full bodied and well-structured with silky tannins to create a full round weighty palate. Excellent concentration and length with savoury oak and a lingering, elegant finish. Seasoned with a mixture of new and older French oak. Drinking beautifully now, this wine can be enjoyed young, or with careful cellaring will mature into a deeper more complex wine.

Fruit was sourced from a number of specifically chosen naturally low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of the Wairau Plain in Marlborough.

Food Pairing: Perfect to enjoy alongside beef Wellington and potato gratin.
