"Youthful and bright appearance with red and ruby core consistent to the rim where it shows a hue of purple. On the nose – varietal with a mild savoury and red fruited bouquet, dark cherry and dried raspberry, violet then a touch of plum, aromas of wood spices with a soft vanilla clove mix then mild toasty barrel notes. Overall moderate complexity with youthful appeal. On the palate – flavours reflect the nose with berry fruit, a definitive savoury whole-bunch core then baking spices and some toasty wood moments. Firm-ish chalky tannins and medium+ acidity along with fruit flavours highlight a satin texture adding length to a dry finish. Balanced and well made. This elegant wine is deep purple with purple hues. Lifted aromas of black and red berries with violets, and spice together with a hint of oak char are present on the nose. The palate is inviting with lovely sweet black and red cherry entry along with black plum and spice with hints of tobacco and mushroom. A complex and concentrated wine with very silky smooth fine-grained tannins. The finish is long and generous with excellent minerality.
