Barossa Valley Wine Co Gravel Track Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 (Australia)

Barossa Valley Wine Co Gravel Track Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 (Australia)

  • American & French oak
  • Blackberry & bramble
  • Aniseed spice & fennel
  • Fine tannins

"Varietally expressive and fragrant, the bouquet shows cassis, subtle tobacco, game and toasted nut aromas on the nose. The well-structured palate displays silky texture and fine grainy tannins, beautifully complemented by ripe fruit flavours and spicy nuances. At its best: now to 2029" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2022

Lifted aromas of blackberry, bramble and tobacco leaf on the nose, with generous amounts of aniseed spice, hints of fennel and mint slice biscuits. Black fruit and spice follow through onto a generous and soft palate, with fine Cabernet tannins on the finish.

Sourced from premium vineyards in the Barossa, this wine was fermented at cooler temperatures for ten days followed by secondary fermentation and maturation in a combination of French and American oak for twelve months to add greater complexity and depth to the wine.

Gravel Track pays tribute to the long gravel and limestone track that wines its way through their historic 60-year-old Farms vineyard.
