Batanga Tequila is crafted by the Casa Orendain Family Estate, founded in 1926 in Jalisco, Mexico. Their award-winning tequila is made with 100% blue Weber agave using old-world methods passed down for generations. Their hand-harvested agave piñas are cooked in traditional-style masonry brick ovens, imparting nuances of cinnamon, clove and other warming spices from the delicate process of caramelizing sugars. In the western Mexico town of Tequila, there’s a small, nondescript cantina called La Capilla - home of the Batanga, a simple drink created in the 1950’s by Don Javier Delgado.
