Batanga Blanco Tequila (750ml)

Batanga Blanco Tequila (750ml)

Batanga Blanco offers extraordinary brilliance, clarity and a great body. It's crisp with flavours of pineapple, guava, hints of cinnamon, clove and warming spices.

Batanga Tequila is crafted by the Casa Orendain Family Estate, founded in 1926 in Jalisco, Mexico. Their award-winning tequila is made with 100% blue Weber agave using old-world methods passed down for generations.  Their hand-harvested agave piñas are cooked in traditional-style masonry brick ovens, imparting nuances of cinnamon, clove and other warming spices from the delicate process of caramelizing  sugars.  As one of the four founding families of the tequila industry, the Orendains invite you to join them in a toast to the good life.

In the western Mexico town of Tequila, there’s a small, nondescript cantina called La Capilla - home of the Batanga, a simple drink created in the 1950’s by Don Javier Delgado. The Batanga is simple: nothing more than tequila, coke and fresh lime juice, served in a tall glass with a salted rim.  But as Don Javier would have told you, its flavor isn’t only in the ingredients - it’s the big knife used to cut the lime, which he used to stir the cocktail.  That’s the secret to the perfect batanga.
