A wine with great personality, born of small things done beautifully. The 2020 Calvert Pinot Noir is dark ruby red in colour. The nose is dominated by savoury characters of earthiness, black doris plum, blackberry compote and cardamom spices. This leads into a wine with silky textured smooth tannins. The earthiness thread becomes the backbone of the palate and is complemented by the rounded, brooding dark fruit characters and spiciness creating a luscious lingering mouth feel.
Calvert is a careful balance of sustainable production and open spaces - an approach that considers future generations.
2020 is a cooler seasoned slower ripening vintage for the Calvert vineyard resulting in a solid wine with great cellaring potential.
