Duck Hunter Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022
- Dry style
- Gooseberry & lemon
- Peach & mango
- Lingering acidity
"Pungent and fruity with aromas of fresh grapefruit and tropical fruit scents, there’s a fine lees quality adding compexity with a steely herbaceous quality and youthful energy. A satin touch gives way quickly to a back bone of acidity then flavours of fresh white fleshed and tropical fruits. The herbaceous quality volume goes up and down with each new taste. Balnaced and well made with a drinking window from 2022 through 2026" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Dec 2022
Palest straw, hints of green and gold. Meyer lemon, white peach, green mango, hints of gooseberry and fresh herbs. Crisp and clean fruit driven pallet, fresh lingering acidity. Drink now or consume within 3 years.
100% pure Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc juice, 90% from Wairau Valley and 10% from the Awatere Valley sub region.
When the flavour spectrum enters the desired range the grapes are machine harvested. At the winery the grapes are pressed and the juice gel floated and inoculated. Cool fermented in stainless steel tanks, then when the wine is deemed in balance the ferment is stopped, the wine is then cold stabilised filtered and bottled.
Food Pairing: Seafood, salads, cheesy entrees, Asian style dishes, and great on its own.
