Edwin Fox Reserve Marlborough Riesling 2020
- Off-dry style
- Apple & orange peel
- Florals & spice
- Juicy acidity
"Beautifully expressed and immediately appealing, the wine shows Gala apple, orange peel, lime zest and floral aromas with a hint of spicy nuance. The palate is elegantly flavoursome and lingering with bright fruit intensity backed by juicy acidity, making it highly enjoyable. Style: Off-dry. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Fresh and lively aromas of juicy mandarin and green apple bounce off the tongue. The palate is crisp and refreshing with bright citrus characters and a hint of orange blossom. An underlying minerality gives this light, fresh wine a long, lingering finish.
These grapes were harvested from selected vineyards within Marlborough’s Awatere and upper Wairau Valleys at the peak of flavour development in the cool of the evening. After fermentation the parcels of fruit were carefully blended together and prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: A lovely aperitif wine to have on its own or a fabulous match with pork or Asian cuisine. Perfect for drinking now this wine will continue to reward for the next two to three years.
