AWARDED GOLD MEDAL & 95/100 POINTS: Decanter World Wine Awards 2018

AWARDED GOLD MEDAL: Gilbert & Gaillard 2018

For rich, ripe, mouthfilling Rhône Villages that’s well priced, head for the Plan de Dieu vineyards in the south. The area is strewn with the same pebbles that you’ll find in Châteauneuf du Pape and that help achieve super ripeness by absorbing heat in daytime and radiating it at night. Resulting in some of the most attractive, warm fruited (and affordable) wines you’re likely to find anywhere. The Dames de Bonpas certainly make the most of its location with this luscious, Gold medal red and its waves of ripe, velvety fruit and smoky complexity.

AWARDED 95/100 POINTS: Jeb Dunnuck, Aug 2020

"All Grenache brought up in demi–muids and aged on lees for 8 months, the medium ruby/purple hued color of the 2019 Cuvée Nicolas is followed by a killer bouquet of kirsch liqueur, savory spices, cured meats, and peppery garrigue. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and gorgeously textured, it has wonderful richness with no sensation of weight or heaviness. It’s another insane value from this team" Jeb Dunnuck
