Grove Mill Marlborough Pinot Noir 2021
- Subtle oak
- Dark cherry
- Boysenberry
- Subtle spice
"This is gorgeously elegant and fragrant on the nose with ripe cherry, plum, violet and subtle spice aromas, followed by a beautifully supple palate that's juicy and lingering. It's varietally pure and highly enjoyable with sweet fruit flavours and spicy nuances. At its best: now to 2026" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jan 2023
Our Grove Mill Pinot Noir is rich ruby red in colour, with a nose full of dark cherry and boysenberry and a touch of spice.
The fruit for our Grove Mill Pinot Noir is hand harvested from our flagship vineyard, 17 Valley, as well as our ‘Favourite’ Vineyard.
An extended cold soak prior to malolactic fermentation and maturation. Approximately 3% of the blend was whole bunch fermented before being pressed to barrel. Good soil and canopy management, cold nights during ripening, and a very warm summer keeps all the concentrated flavours in the grapes which you can taste in the wine.
Food Pairing: A savoury complexity and a smooth finish make it the perfect match for barbequed meat with a roast beetroot salad.
