The nose offers heady scents of blue and blackberries with undertones of plum compote and a hint of espresso. The palate delivers all of this and more in a deeply concentrated wine with layers of tightly held flavour. The mouthfeel is full but well focussed with a bright natural acidity – also responsible for its intense purple hue. The 2020 Michelle Central Otago Pinot Noir is a powerful wine that will yield great enjoyment over the next 12-15 years.
