"From an excellent vintage this Wrekin Vineyard wine has a concentrated, ripe, varietal and fruity bouquet with aromas of dark almost black cherry and raspberry, smoky oak and toasty baking spices of vanilla and clove. On the palate - tense, ripe, poised, youthful, fruity and dry. Flavours of dark cherry and baked raspberry, velvet roses and plum. Tannins are firm and youthful with a coarse satin texture, medium+ acidity and lengthy finish. Dark reddy purple in the glass. The nose explodes with Black Doris plums and boysenberry fruit, floral notes of violet and earthy, truffle and liquorice overtones.
