Jules Taylor OTQ Single Vineyard Marlborough Pinot Noir 2019

  • French oak
  • Black cherry & plum
  • Vanilla & clove
  • Firm tannins

"This is a stunning offering; the gloriously expressed bouquet shows dark cherry, sweet plum, toasted spice and cedar characters with a seductive savoury undertone. The palate exhibits outstanding concentration and depth, together with richly textured mouthfeel and refined tannins, finishing impressively long and velvety. Symphonic and gratifying" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2020

"From an excellent vintage this Wrekin Vineyard wine has a concentrated, ripe, varietal and fruity bouquet with aromas of dark almost black cherry and raspberry, smoky oak and toasty baking spices of vanilla and clove. On the palate - tense, ripe, poised, youthful, fruity and dry. Flavours of dark cherry and baked raspberry, velvet roses and plum. Tannins are firm and youthful with a coarse satin texture, medium+ acidity and lengthy finish. A wine that is best in your cellar till late 2021/early 2022 and will reward through 2028+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Oct 2020

Dark reddy purple in the glass. The nose explodes with Black Doris plums and boysenberry fruit, floral notes of violet and earthy, truffle and liquorice overtones. Spice from the French oak barriques is layered with hints of dark chocolate. This is Pinot Noir on a Harley Davidson! A serious wine that will reward a few years in the cellar - it is ripe, concentrated and fullbodied, with plenty of tannins leading to a long, fine, dry finish.

Hand Harvested Close planted hillside vines Organically farmed grapes. Extended maceration Barrel aged for nine months.

Food Pairing: Decant 20 minutes prior for ideal drinking. Pair with duck or venison.
