Lake Chalice The Falcon Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022
- Dry style
- White pear & pear
- Citrus blossom
- Clean minerality
"A classic expression with a pungent and expressive bouquet of passion fruit and lime zest, white peach and fresh herbs. Crisp, saline, mouthwatering and fresh on the palate. Flavours mirror the bouquet along with a sweet grapefruit and apple quality - all in a moderately weight satin mouthfeel. Balanced and well made with a lengthy finish, lots to like with best drinking from 2023 through 2026" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Mar 2023
Pale green. Lifted aromas of fresh pear, white peach, tropical fruits and citrus blossom. A fresh, clean and bright palate with clean minerality, keffir lime and white stonefruit, leaving a refreshing and full savour. Enjoy now and over the next 3 years. If it makes it past the time it takes to chill we’d be impressed.
The majority of fruit is harvested from the mature vines of our Talon block located in the famously fertile area of Dillon’s Point known to produce outstanding Sauvignon Blanc.
Pressed immediately following harvest to minimise skin contact and retain freshness, then coolfermented to maintain rich aromatics.
To experience the taste, try to imagine a different time and place. Remember being a kid in the summer holidays and running around outside all day, riding bikes and mum saying “be home by dinner”.
