Lustau Dry Oloroso Don Nuno Sherry NV (Spain)

Lustau Dry Oloroso Don Nuno Sherry NV (Spain)

"It’s silky and aromatic, suggesting caramel, liquefied roasted nuts and juiced dates, figs and apricots (assuming one could juice dried fruit), along with a yeasty, aromatic quality that wakes up the nostrils like a bakery located next to a diesel gas station. And there’s even a lovely salty tang running through it in the manner of lighter, bone-dry fino sherry. Granny, your serious sherry has arrived. Perfect as an aperitif, for a cheese course and splendid with most soups. In fact, this style and quality of sherry is about as versatile as wine comes. Serve it chilled" Beppi Crosariol, Globe & Mail 2015

Dark bronze in colour with golden rim. Pungent nutty aromas and smooky wood background in the nose. Rich flavours of bitter chocolate, walnuts and baked chestnuts. This Oloroso wine has an intense, concentrated aftertaste, lightened by a tangy acidity.

Aged in American oak casks in the traditional “Solera y Criaderas” system in the Lustau bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera.

Food Pairing: Serve slightly chilled, between 13-14 ºC, (55-57 ºF) with dried fruits and mature cheeses. Ideal with game dishes, stews and other rich meat dishes. It is also a perfect digestive.
