Maison Fortant Provence Rosé 2021 (France)

Maison Fortant Provence Rosé 2021 (France)

  • Dry style
  • Raspberry
  • White blossoms
  • Balanced

Superb, brilliant, pale pink-ish colour. Highly aromatic, with delicate notes of red fruit, a complex nose of raspberry, white-fleshed fruit, peach and white blossoms. The terrior shines through on the palate, giving an impression of freshness and balance. Lovely length and a mineral saline finish with character.

A blend of 55% Grenache, 27% Cinsault and 15% Syrah grown in calcareous clay 250m above sea level.

The grapes are mostly harvested in the morning and are then destemmed. The Cinsault and Grenache grapes are pressed directly while the Syrah grapes are vinified according to the saignée method. Vinification is conducted in stainless steel vats and fermentation takes place at low temperatures to preserve the wines' aromatic freshness, after which the wines are aged for 3 months on fine lees and gently stirred.

Food Pairing: Ideal as an aperitif, or as an accompaniment to seafood hors d'oeuvres, or raw vegetables with a black olive tapenade dip.
