- Dry style
- Strawberry
- Melon
- Smooth finish
"This brand new release is delicious with aromas of fresh cherry and raspberry, strawberry compote, flowers and silica. Salivating and fruity, crunchy and fresh with flavours that mirror the nose. Balanced, new and ready. What are you waiting for? Best drinking from today and through summer 2022" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Sep 2021
This is a vibrant cool climate Rose, pale pink in the glass with effusive aromas of strawberry and melon on the nose. The palate is lively with raspberry and peachy flavours balanced with a smooth fresh fruity finish.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from mature vineyards in the North Island of New Zealand that consistently produce outstanding grapes.
2021 was an excellent vintage with a combination of low yields and a temperate, dry growing season producing clean, ripe intensely flavoured fruit.
They harvested the grapes in the fresh fruit flavor spectrum ideal for Rose. The majority of the fruit was gently pressed off immediately, while a smaller portion had more prolonged skin contact to extract colour. The juice was then fermented at cool temperatures with aromatic yeast to capture the beautiful fresh aromas. After a short lees aging period the component wines were blended and prepared for early bottling.
Food Pairing: Excellent on its own or with a wide variety of foods from fresh strawberries and cream, to chicken with feta, watermelon and pumpkin seed salad.
