"Wonderfully fruited and gorgeously aromatic, the wine shows kiwifruit, Granny Smith apple, lemongrass and lime zest aromas, followed by an intensely flavoursome palate offering terrific fruit power and purity. Mouthfilling with loads of tasty flavours, making it deliciously appealing. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2023
This Mystery Sauvignon Blanc has herbaceous aromas of tomato leaf and green nettle. The palate is noticeably fresh and crisp with flavours of tropical passionfruit, green apple and a clean minerality on the finish.
Fruit for this punchy Sauvignon Blanc was sourced solely from the Awatere Valley in Marlborough, renowned for its proximity to the ocean, providing a fresh minerality on the palate. This region has a longer ripening period than the rest of Marlborough and is harvested later in the season. Once harvested, the grapes were carted to the Winery where they were immediately tended to. Pressed off their skins instantly before being settled and fermented using a variety of selected yeasts. This Sauvignon Blanc wine was crafted using stainless steel vessels to help maintain a fresh and fruity palate.
Food Pairing: Our winemakers suggest pairing this refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with Marlborough mussels or goat’s cheese.
