Peregrine Saddleback Central Otago Pinot Gris 2020

Peregrine Saddleback Central Otago Pinot Gris 2020

  • Dry style
  • Citrus & ginger
  • Nougat
  • Soft & creamy

"Wonderfully ripe and instantly appealing with apricot, poached pear, honeydew melon and rich floral aromas, it's succulent and plush on the palate delivering excellent fruit intensity backed by silken texture and refreshing acidity. Flavoursome and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2021

A fresh, bright Pinot Gris, dry in style with lovely citrus, ginger and nougat aromatics. Stonefruit flavours combine with a lovely soft and slightly creamy palate.

Fruit was sourced from Bendigo (43%), Pisa (29%) and Gibbston (28%) sub regions of Central Otago.

The 2020 season started dry and cool in Central Otago, followed by warmer temperatures throughout summer and a lovely ripening period in autumn. This resulted in smaller bunches and berries, with lovely purity and intensity of flavour.

Fermented in tank and aged on yeast lees for months prior to blending and bottling.

Food Pairing: Seafood and pasta dishes.
