Peregrine Saddleback Central Otago Pinot Noir 2017
Bright floral and savory aromas. Rich and round with wild raspberry, blackcurrant and sweet spice flavours. A wonderful expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir. A round, luscious and fruit forward Pinot Noir with lots of flavours and lovely soft tannins.
Grapes for this wine were grown in the Bendigo (39%), Pisa (50%), Gibbston (11%) sub-regions of Central Otago. An early bud burst was followed by a very windy spring and early summer. A much cooler summer, however a lovely long autumn allowed for extended ripeness. Small berries & bunches gave great fruit concentration. Its was then 100% destemmed, 10 months in older French Oak.
Food Pairing: Game, pork or lamb dishes.
