Peregrine Saddleback Central Otago Pinot Noir 2019

Peregrine Saddleback Central Otago Pinot Noir 2019

  • French oak
  • Strawberry
  • Thyme
  • Soft, supple tannins

"It's sweetly fruited and enticing on the nose with ripe cherry, smoked mushroom, thyme and roasted nut characters. The palate displays excellent weight and fleshy texture together with juicy fruit flavours and silky tannins, making it instantly appealing and fabulously drinkable" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2021

Strawberry, raspberry and floral aromas combine with subtle brown spice and a hint of thyme. A pure expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir. A luscious and fruit focused Pinot Noir with great flavour and soft supple tannins.

Harvested in Central Otago - Bendigo, Gibbston and select Cromwell basin sites.

The mild summer combined with classic large diurnal shifts in autumn led to a long ripening period giving great complexity and concentration to the fruit.

Mostly destemmed with a small portion of whole cluster fermentation, and 10 months maturation in older French oak.

Food Pairing: Game, pork or lamb dishes.
