A core of dark berry fruit and plum is lifted by top notes of rosewood, cedar and violet with a cooler fragrant hint of cardamom. A savoury dark earthy complexity and a thread of graphite brings a more serious, brooding undertone to the wine. On the palate the wine is medium/full bodied with gentle mid palate flesh, finishing with a long, fine, supple tannin structure. This is a dense yet elegant wine with great depth which will reward long term cellaring until 2029 – 2044.

There are also darker liquorice, mineral and earth notes that bring a serious brooding undertone, while subtle oak brings extra complexity and texture, imparting notes of vanilla, roasted cacao and a hint of smoke. On the palate the wine is medium-full bodied with an impression of sweet fruit and long finish driven by silky tannins and gentle acidity.
