"Deep, ruby-red, slightly lighter edged. The nose is softly full and enticing, broody nuances of plums, red berries entwined with spice, a hint of gamey, meatiness, and tobacco added complexity. Medium-full bodied, red berries and plums have a vibrant core, cloves and pepper grow on the palate, followed by savoury meatiness and tobacco. Fine-grained tannins coated the palate with silk; integrated acidity provides freshness and an elegant flow. This elegant Syrah shows freshness, balanced oak element and a silky mouthfeel. Match with roasted pork and lamb shoulder over the next 5-8 years. Fermented to 13.5% alc, aged in French & American (10%) oak barrels, 30% new oak.
