SOHO Westwood Waiheke Island Rosé 2020
- Off-dry style
- Blood orange
- Cherry & raspberry
- Floral notes
"This is gorgeously fruited and fabulously expressed on the nose showing sweet cherry, peach, lemon peel and floral aromas, leading to a succulent palate that’s generously flavoured and lingering. It’s bright and delicious, making it hugely appealing" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Bright, pale ruby-red with a neon-shade, even colour throughout. The bouquet has a rich tone of deeper florals, unfolding ripe field strawberries, cherries flavoured boiled sweets note. Medium-bodied, dry-ish to taste, ripe field strawberries, cherries have a good core, along with lemon sherbet, rose petals and delicate spices linger to a textural finish. The mouthfeel is opulent, very fine phenolic grip on a smooth flow with vibrant acidity. This is a medium-bodied rosé with lush red fruit, lively acidity on a textural palate. Match with smoked venison carpaccio and cured meat over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from Carter’s Jomara Vineyard, Onetangi. 13% alc. 18/20 pts" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews, Sep 2020
Off-dry to taste, macerated cherries & raspberries are offset by blood orange & pomegranate. A beautiful mouthfeel with real presence leads to a refreshingly long juicy finish. Mouth candy with mojo. This flaming Dame recruits the coolest of admirers.
SOHO Wines uniquely embodies a passion for life, culture & entertainment, hence the name SOHO. Their love of Tom Ford’s work – contemporary, stylish & a little risqué, has helped to shape their own distinctive non-traditional wine packaging and marketing.
Food Pairing: Perfect on its own or enjoy with fresh & grilled shellfish served with a leafy green salad.
