Three Miners Warden's Court Central Otago Pinot Noir 2023

Three Miners Warden's Court Central Otago Pinot Noir 2023

"Elegantly composed and expressed, the inviting bouquet shows sweet cherry, olive, warm mushroom, and fine oak aromas. It's beautifully weighted and silky in the mouth, displaying a velvety texture backed by delicate tannins, finishing wonderfully long and refined. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"A delicious, nicely complex expression in a lighter-weighted frame, with aromas and flavours of fresh red and yellow plums, cherry, and raspberry. There’s a seam of clay and fine silty soil suggestions enhanced by the acid line and fine tannin structure. Fruit flavours are consistent and fresh, adding length to the finish, while a floral quality adds delicacy and intrigue. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2030" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier

"This Alexandra Pinot Noir is mouth-filling, with ripe black fruit, layered spice and toasty details, supported by lively acidity, leading to a savoury, powerful finish" Candice Chow, Wine Chat

Deep ruby in colour. The nose is complex with plum, mocha and savoury aromatics. The palate is filled with red bramble and cherry fruit supported by fine tannins and a long lingering finish.

WARDEN’S COURT - dealt with the registration and enforcement of Miner’s Rights. Disputes often arose over claim jumping, forgeries, water races, roading and between partners of a joint claim. The old Courthouse in Alexandra is one of the town’s oldest stone buildings and was opened on the 16th of June 1879 to house The Warden’s Court.

Food Pairing: Beef, lamb, and duck with cherries.
