Trinity Hill Hawke's Bay Rosé 2021
- Dry style
- Red currants
- Savoury spice
- Crisp & refreshing
"Fresh and elegantly aromatic with sweet strawberry, nectarine, apple and lemon peel notes, it's juicy and vibrant in the mouth delivering excellent fruit purity and flow. Light, refreshing and delectably appealing. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jun 2022
Lifted aromas of red currants, raspberries, and strawberries, along with hints of savoury spices, lead to fresh, crunchy red fruit flavours on the palate and a finish that is satisfyingly crisp and refreshing. Trinity Hill Rosé is a wine best enjoyed while young but will continue to drink well over the next two years.
Weather conditions leading up to the 2021 harvest were typical of a Hawke’s Bay Summer – warm sunny days with moderately cool nights. As Autumn arrived the season became cooler yet remained dry, providing ideal ripening conditions.
Syrah grapes were rapidly and gently pressed, with the juice cold settled and fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel to maximise the retention of fruit character. A small amount of residual sugar was retained to balance the acidity and the wine bottled early to capture its youthfulness and vitality.
Food Pairing: Enjoy on its own or partnered with antipasto, sashimi, or pan-fried salmon.
