Ultimate Provence Rosé 2020 (France)
- Dry style
- Raspberry & strawberry
- Subtle spice notes
- Lingering finish
"Bright, even, pale peach-pink. The wine has an enticing bouquet, red and white blossom interweave red berries, nectarine, citrus zest and a hint of white pepper. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, excellent intensity flavours of red berries, nectarine melded with grapefruit zest, red floral and white pepper linger to a long, refreshing finish. The fruit has lovely ripeness and weight, lacy acidity flows with chalky, fine-textured phenolics, leaving an elegant, dry mouthfeel. This is a smooth, dry Provence Rosé with good intensity, balanced acidity and lingering finish. Serve as an aperitif or match with cured meat and salmon over the next 3 years. A blend of Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache Noir and Rolle, fermented to 12.5% alc, <1.5 g/l RS" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Dec 2021
Star bright in color, vibrant pale pink that has flecks of copper reflections. A unique combination of classic Provencal red berries leading to scents of the holidays – citrus fruits, pine. The spice notes from the Syrah provides a dry, white pepper characteristic across the entire palate. A touch of Rolle gives great acidity and brightness that lends notes of winter citrus, spice with a warming finish. The beauty of this wine extends from the bottle to the contents. Layers of raspberry, strawberry jam in the nose invite you to a gorgeous, yet spicy palate. A fresh wine with great acidity for food pairing, but roundness to enjoy on its own. If you only have one bottle to bring – this is the ultimate wine for any occasion.
The vineyard is bordered by a stunning nature reserve, on the edge of an expansive oak forest. Shallow topsoil, layered over an impermeable sandstone slab. A soil nourished by a rich humus of oak leaves and vine shoots.
Food Pairing: A perfect wine to take to a BBQ and serve with grilled chicken and vegetable skewers. The spice notes will compliment roasted meats and classic Mediterranean flavors like Greek Souvlaki or charcuterie.
