"Offering gorgeous fruit richness and intensity, the immediately appealing bouquet shows passionfruit, mango, crunchy apple and lemon/lime zest aromas. The concentrated palate displays succulent fruit flavours with beautifully pitched acidity, making it wonderfully flavoursome and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2024
A classic expression of Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough's Wairau Valley. Bursting with tropical fruit this warmer subregion, this wine displays punchy aromas of passionfruit and blackcurrant. The palate complex array of rich citrus fruits mixed with ripe herbs finishing with fresh and juicy acidity.
A selection of Vineyards throughout the Wairau Valley, each contributing their own unique attributes and flavourful wine.
Low frost pressure at bud burst and ample soil moisture from winter rains helped to deliver healthy canopies to drive ripening. A cooler than average start to the growing season resulted in thick skins blocks of what would become intense aromas and rich texture. The weather settled into a long period cool nights, allowing for picking at optimal ripeness.
Select aroma enhancing yeast strains, 100% stainless steel fermentation at cool temperatures to promote fresh, vibrant fruit characters. Carefully monitored 4 months on yeast lees to build texture and palate weight.
