Winebasket South Australia Nero d'Avola 2023 (Australia) (2L)

Winebasket South Australia Nero d'Avola 2023 (Australia) (2L)

Bursting with black fruits, cherries, plums and light spice. The palate is juicy, fruit driven with moderate acidity, smooth tannins and full body.

In earlier days wine was wrapped in raffia to protect the bottles, whose bases were rounded being hand-blown glass. Filled on the vineyard, everything about these bottles said family, friends and food. Hand-crafted Italian varietals and our generous two litre bottle, Winebasket takes you back to those simpler times when good things were shared around the table.

Variable conditions during flowering impacted yields in various areas. The 2023 vintage was not without it’s challenges, but the diverse landscape allowed for the best of each weather event to strengthen the vines and processes to continue the quality outcomes.

Grown organically, hand-picked and then naturally fermented. After fermentation the wine was pressed directly to small oak vessels for 5 months maturation on malolactic lees. Produced with minimal SO2 and filtration.
