Wooing Tree Central Otago Pinot Noir 2019
"Appealing, aromatic Pinot Noir, with almost lush plum and berry fruit flavours together with spice, anise and a suggestion of fresh herbs. Fine, peppery tannins give the wine a gentle backbone" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Dec 2020
"A youthful core aroma of red cherry and wild berries followed by a crushed stone mineral quality and fine toasty barrel spice highlights. Even more youthful on the palate, a wine with time on its side but not without a decent combination of texture and core fruit flavours. Firm tannins and medium+ acid line, lighter weighted with a fine savoury complexity and decent length. Best drinking from late 2023 through 2029" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak have resulted in a complex and powerful wine. It has a perfumed nose of darks fruits, violets and liquorice with a hint of spice. Ripe berry, plum, cherry and chocolate show on the palate with a long sweet fruit finish. A great example of one of the best Central Otago Pinot Noirs. Drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years.
