"Decisive and precise, pungent and varietal. A delicious wine on the nose and palate with aromas and flavours of sweet grapefruit, apple and lime, there’s a savoury wild sea breeze core showcasing the wines minerality and rugged soils profile. Flavours of hay and tropical fruits, some sweet bell-pepper and fruit spice. High acidity, luscious fruit flavours and distinctive varietal finish. Well made and ready to drink from purchase and through 2026+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Oct 2021

"Pure, precise and punchy sauvignon blanc with gooseberry, green capsicum, lime zest and a suggestion of passionfruit flavours. A nicely balanced wine, with taut acidity that helps drive a lengthy finish" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2021

Lifted notes of blackcurrant bud, passionfruit, guava and sweet pea, underpinned with citrus notes. A generous palate with pure, concentrated fruit flavours balanced by a deliciously long, crisp mineral finish.

The 2021 harvest was our earliest on record. There were late spring frosts in Marlborough and some challenging weather over the flowering period, which resulted in moderate crops throughout the region. These moderate crops, coupled with a warm and stable end to the growing season, set us up for an early start with stunning fruit. We had clear warm days throughout March, so we could pick at our leisure, without any pressure from the elements. The resulting wine is showing the wonderful hallmarks that our Awatere vineyards are known for – highly concentrate fruit flavours, with underlying purity and minerality.

Carefully selected parcels of Sauvignon Blanc from our Seaview vineyard in the Awatere Valley were used to create this wine. The perfect weather conditions allowed the fruit to be harvested with ideal ripeness and flavour. At the winery the fruit was gently pressed, and juice settled to remove solids. The clear juice underwent fermentation in various temperature controlled stainless steel tanks using a range of selected yeasts to capture and enhance the wines varietal characters. The wine was then blended, stabilised and filtered in preparation for bottling.

Food Pairing: Enjoy with seafood such as prawns, mussels or fish.
